Others to note include Coniston Clouds, Hashtag Boum and Topkapi Star.

Thunder In Milan bounced back to form with a gutsy success at Musselburgh and he is likely to be thereabouts, along with Hexham winner En Meme Temps and Fever Roque.

MAROWN returned to form when denied by a neck over 2m4f at Carlisle last month and Nicky Richards' charge looks to have been found a good opportunity now faced with a stiffer test. Bavington Bob hasn't been in the greatest of form of late, but he's now down to the same mark as his win in this race last year and shouldn't be underestimated. Domandlouis is 1lb out of the handicap on this rise in class, but the six-year-old arrives with less questions to answer than most.

Animore justified strong support in the market when romping home by 12 lengths at Ayr last month and she isn't taken lightly now 8lb higher in the ratings. Preference, however, is for ATLANTIC DANCER, who found only a rejuvenated stable switcher too good at Uttoxeter and Nick Alexander's mare may prove difficult to beat racing off the same mark. Noble Affair and Rae Des Champs make most appeal of the remainder.

Torngat arrives in winning form after scoring in his last two point-to-points and he could be a force to reckon with, but his form under Rules suggests he has to find more to hold off INVICTION. Ross Wilson's representative is rated the best horse here by the handicapper and was going well enough before falling in the race won by his rival at Overton. If he completes, he has every chance. Ballydonagh Boy and Baron Briggs are others to take seriously in a wide-open contest.

Speed Davis set connections back a pretty penny after winning between the flags, though he had some luck that day when left in the lead at the last. He is one to watch on his debut under Rules, as is fellow point-to-point winner Marty Mcfly, who looks more stamina than speed. Hierachy dug deep to score at Ayr, but the nod goes to HEART ABOVE. Although third on his introduction, he hit the front two furlongs out before weakening late on and may do considerably better now.

LISNAMULT LAD was an impressive winner of his sole point-to-point in Ireland in October and he could provide yet another winner for trainer John McConnell on these shores now starting out in a bumper. Carrigeen Kali has posted two solid efforts in this sphere since returning from a 101-day break in February and is feared most, ahead of Lune De La Mer, who should have learned plenty from his Rules debut when third here.
