There was lots to like about the manner in which FOX FLAME got off the mark at Wolverhampton last week and she is hard to oppose, even though she has a 6lb penalty in a slightly deeper looking race. Assuming she adapts to this circuit, Charlie Johnston's filly strongly appeals with her stamina for the trip now proven. Sir John Monash rates as the main threat, although The Renegade could improve for the headgear switch from cheekpieces to a first-time visor.
Prediction : 1st Fox Flame 2nd Sir John Monash 3rd The Renegade

SILVER BUBBLE made good progress last season and looks worth chancing as she resumes from just 4lb higher than for the latest of her four successes at Brighton. Stepping up in trip has been the making of Gay Kelleway's mare, although switching her to a synthetic surface creates some hope for previous course winner Amourie, who arrives on the back of a couple of near-misses. Destinado is another to seriously consider.
Prediction : 1st Silver Bubble 2nd Amourie 3rd Destinado

Having refused to race twice, Silver Sword obviously has a bit of character, but he also showed ability in the two contests he consented to complete last autumn and has scope to progress now he's been given more time. However, INDIANA BE sets a reasonable standard for a race such as this and with the step up in trip likely to suit on pedigree, keeping his sights relatively low for the time being could work the oracle for Ed Bethell's gelding. Military Tycoon is also considered.
Prediction : 1st Indiana Be 2nd Silver Sword 3rd Military Tycoon

This represents a drop in class for BIPLANE, who was beaten just three-quarters of a length into third over this trip at Newcastle earlier in the month. John Wainwright's mare retains the mark from that run and can have a big say in proceedings. Inexplicable kept on well for third over an extended mile in the hands of Mark Winn at Wolverhampton and is feared most, while Desert Miracle completes the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Biplane 2nd Inexplicable 3rd Desert Miracle

Mashaan finished just half a length behind the winner when fifth over this trip at Lingfield, but WRITTEN BROADCAST has been so consistent during a busy start to the year and shaped like he hasn't quite reached his ceiling yet when a close-up third over C&D. A 2lb rise following a game victory, also over this track and trip, may not be enough to stop Northbound having a say in proceedings and he can give the selection plenty to think about.
Prediction : 1st Written Broadcast 2nd Northbound 3rd Mashaan

EASY EQUATION gets the nod after posting another respectable effort when third at Lingfield last time. Despite having to wait for a clear run, the five-year-old kept on to make the podium and can regain the winning thread off the same rating. If he fails to fire, it would be no surprise if Easter Icon was there to capitalise after finding only an odds-on favourite/subsequent winner too strong over C&D. Manyana is another consider.
Prediction : 1st Easy Equation 2nd Easter Icon 3rd Manyana

BLACKJACK found only one rival too strong last time out at Chelmsford and the six-year-old can record a fifth career victory now entering calmer waters. Alan Brown's charge showed a determined attitude to land the spoils at this venue on his penultimate outing and a reproduction of that effort could suffice. The handicapper has loosened his grip on Bond Boy and he merits respect. Thismydream has been a consistent customer this year and is another big player.
Prediction : 1st Blackjack 2nd Bond Boy 3rd Thismydream
