Quite a few of these arrive here with a point to prove but not YGGDRASIL who has very much bounced back to form the last twice. He bumped into Authorised Speed on return at Sandown where he could definitely have jumped better and then only went down 2 lengths at Exeter last month. He pulled 9 lengths clear from the rest with an improver and back in a handicap off a mark of 119 I’m confident he can go close. He remains lightly raced and has also won over C&D in the past which bodes well. On Springs and Blue Hawaii are the only last time out winners in the field so the danger probably comes from one of them. The latter put her race fitness to good use to win easily at Sedgefield but a 6lb higher mark will ask a few more questions of her. On Springs isn’t the most straightforward but could still be the biggest threat off his current mark.
