With 3 wins to his name this season TIP TOP MOUNTAIN looks sure to run another big race at Plumpton on Sunday. That was arguably a career best at Uttoxeter last time making all the running and he remains unexposed over staying trips. He looks to have stamina in abundance and just 4lb higher I am surprised he isn’t vying for favouritism here. Northern Poet is also still going the right way and he did impress with how he looked beat before running on strongly to comprehensively beat William Cody at Huntingdon. He then followed up here last time beating Hiway One O Three a neck and looks the danger in first-time headgear now. The latter obviously also must have a chance on that recent form but isn’t a certainty to reverse that as there is only a 1lb difference at the weights. Gold Clermont was denied a hat-trick last time and has a bit to prove now.

15:45 Stratford

The only last time out winner in the field LUNA DORA could be set to follow up at Stratford on Sunday. She is lightly raced and left previous form behind to make a winning return at Fakenham last time despite making quite a bad error at halfway. She stayed on well on that occasion and if handling the quicker ground which shouldn’t be an issue on old form then she might be capable of defying a 9lb rise. I expect her to be pretty handy and that could turn out to be a positive around this track as well. Fancy Stuff ran well when second to Queens Rock at Southwell last year and backed that up when third to Deere Mark at Hereford. Those are both good runs and if stripping fitter from that Warwick run last month she will be the danger back in trip. Stopherandgo scored at Wincanton on penultimate start but was held latest and needs more back in a handicap.
