A lot of these are struggling for form right now and can’t be backed with any confidence so it might be worth chancing SQUEEZEBOX to make a winning start for Mick Appleby. Previously trained by John Feane in Ireland this son of Slade Power has shown promise in 4 starts to date and could easily be well handicapped off a mark of 67. He was slowly into stride when last seen at Navan but still managed to get close going down just a length into fourth at the line. He is still open to plenty of improvement and if the market speaks favourably that would only bolster confidence. Gannon Glory won over C&D as a 3yo and hasn’t been shaping too badly in defeat this year so looks the danger. He is fav at the time of writing though so no juice in his price. Refuge won 3 times last year and will strip fitter from that Donny reappearance so is also respected.
