Telhimlisten is a worthy favourite having racked up a sequence of wins over hurdles recently but he runs here off a 14lb higher mark than last time and I am willing to take a chance on NOT ANOTHER MUDDLE (best priced at 9/4) at the prices. The Gary Moore trained twelve-year-old finished 2nd in a Class 3 0-125 handicap over 2m1f here earlier this month but now drops into a Class 4 0-110 handicap in this race. 

Not Another Muddle was previously rated as high as 140 in the past so he is well handicapped off a mark of 108 and Niall Houlihan takes off a further handy 3lbs. He has a good record at Plumpton in his career with form figures of 212 and hopefully he can get back to winning ways here.

This looks a competitive 0-100 handicap hurdle but preference goes to INDEPENDENCE (best priced at 6/1) on his stable debut for Dr Richard Newland. The seven-year-old has placed in three of his five starts over hurdles for Brian Barr and he now returns to this code following a couple of below par efforts on the flat. 

Independence has been well backed for this race which gives the impression that his new connections think he has a few pounds in hand off a mark of 99 and hopefully he can make a winning start for Deva Racing off top weight with Luke Scott taking off 7lbs.
