I liked what I saw from CHANGEOFMIND on debut winning despite looking far from the finished article. It isn’t easy for a 2yo to make a winning start at Chester given how tight the track is but he stayed on well and was always doing enough. The form hasn’t worked out amazingly but the runner-up acquitted himself well in defeat after and the fifth Felix Natalis won 3 times after so it does have some substance. He is obviously open to plenty of improvement and if ready to fire on return could surprise a few here. High Ovation has shown enough promise in 3 runs to be a big danger here but he is likely to be sent off favourite and he did carry his head a bit awkwardly when last seen at Southwell which would have to be concerning. Erosion Risk was behind the selection at Chester and often finds one too good so that might be how this pans out as well.
