A fiercely competitive handicap but that is the story of the day so I’m willing to take a chance on JM JUNGLE building on that eye-catching reappearance. He remains lightly raced and stayed on well in the closing stages beaten less than two lengths at the line. That was his first start since a gelding operation and with that under his belt a lot like he did last year he can get back in the winners enclosure now. He races off the same mark and looks to have plenty in favour.

The biggest danger could be Girl Magic who was a little disappointing on return at Kempton but dropping back down to the minimum trip with that under her belt could show up much better. Jer Batt impressed making a winning return at Southwell and then didn’t do a lot wrong when second last time but he is probably better on the AW and he is currently fav at the time of writing so no value in backing him here.
