Only five horses heading to post for this but it is still a good race and I’m keen on the chances of HERBIERS for Oliver Greenall. This horse won five times over hurdles and looks to have taken well to chasing winning with plenty up his sleeve at Newbury on penultimate start. That fourth in the Silver Trophy was a big run last time and as long as those excursions don’t take their toll here he is definitely the one to beat on that form. He has more to come in this discipline and back down to two miles should take a lot of pegging back. A Different Kind also did well over hurdles and didn’t run badly behind Punctuation at Aintree last time. If he takes to this discipline at the first time of asking he could be the danger. I think he’ll come on for the experience though and he is short enough in the betting. Hystery Bere is capable but the drop back in trip is far from ideal.

After spending a couple of years in Hong Kong VITRALITE clearly returned to these shores as a well handicapped animal. He made a winning start for this yard holding on nicely at Chelmsford and then followed up impressively at Yarmouth last time. He is turned out quickly under a penalty but this track will suit and it looks another good bit of placing to complete the hat-trick. Havana Goldrush arrives with confidence high having won over C&D 10 days ago but he didn’t really need to improve to win that and this will be tougher but he is clearly well suited by this track. Bobby Dassler had the run of the race last time and still couldn’t win but ties in with the latter so likely won’t be all that far away once more. Ruith Le Tu is a tricky sort and he refused to race last time but if he does consent to racing he is clearly a capable type as he showed on penultimate start going close.
