The way DABBOUS won over C&D on handicap debut last month was impressive for the level. He was much the best that day despite having been briefly denied a run. He obviously went to Bath and completely blew out but I don’t think he handled that track at all and he wasn’t given a hard time once beaten. Back at this track I’m hoping he can bounce back as he is well bred and could still have a decent future. This is a winnable race and he looks good value against the market principals. You Saw Brigadoon is the form angle having produced figures of 3312 in his last four starts. He was beaten off this mark at Yarmouth last time though so might not have much more in hand of the assessor. Greek Giant is less exposed and if improving on that fourth at Nottingham might even emerge as a greater threat to the selection. Churchill Rose looks best of the remainder.
