15:00 Newmarket

This looks a competitive 0-105 handicap but preference goes to the top weight ACCIDENTAL AGENT (best priced at 6/1) whose previous two career victories came at Newmarket. The Eve Johnson Houghton trained nine-year-old made a winning reappearance over this course and distance last season off a mark of 104 by two lengths and he aims to do the same again this season off the same mark.

Accidental Agent has form figures of 1715361 at Newmarket and he looks overpriced back at this track with up to four places available.

Accidental Agent - 0.5pts e/w @ 6/1

15:10 Goodwood

The George Baker trained The LAMPLIGHTER (best priced at 5/1) is a three-time course and distance winner and he should hold strong claims of going one better than in this race than last year. The eight-year-old has form figures of 41231010252 in handicaps at Goodwood including when 2nd by a nose in this race last season off a mark of 80.

The Lamplighter finished 2nd by a head later in the season off the same mark of 80 and he now makes his reappearance off a mark of a mark of 78. With the dead eight runners, he looks the solid each way selection in the race.

The Lamplighter - 0.5pts e/w @ 5/1

15:20 Musselburgh

Only six runners contest this 0-80 handicap but preference goes to PRIMOS COMET (best priced at 11/4) who won this race two seasons ago. The Jim Goldie trained eight-year-old has won six times over this course and distance including most recently off a mark of 72 in July.

Primo’s Comet most recently finished 3rd over this course and distance 27 days ago off a mark of 62 when only beaten 1 ¼ lengths and he gets to run here off the same mark. The biggest danger appears to be Riversway who has won three of her last four starts but this will be her reappearance run and preference therefore goes to Primo’s Comet.
