Steve Ryder is back with three tips from today's action.

Solanna is respected in this race under a 5lb penalty but I feel that Villalobos (best priced at 15/4) is overpriced at current odds. The Simon Hodgson trained four-year-old won on his stable debut over this course and distance in March off a mark of 53 when he won comfortably by 1 ½ lengths under Jack Mitchell.
The handicapper raised Villalobos 5lbs for that victory but he raced too keenly under 3lbs claimer William Carver and weakened late on to finish only 4th. Jack Mitchell is back on board which is a positive and he should hold strong claims in this small field.

This looks a poor 0-60 handicap with three of the six runners: Alainn Tu (6lbs), Metarace (6lbs) and Kwiz (14lbs), running from out of the handicap. Preference goes to the Kevin Philippart De Foy trained Byefornow (best priced at 85/40) who won over 6f here 21 days ago. The three-year-old showed plenty of pace to make all that day and this drop back in trip to 5f shouldn’t inconvenience him.
The handicapper has raised Byefornow 4lbs for that victory which is fair and I expect him to prove hard to beat.
16:20 Fakenham
The Norfolk National looks a competitive renewal this year but preference goes to last year’s winner Tommie Beau (best priced at 8/1) who races off only a 1lb higher mark this year. The Seamus Mullins trained eight-year-old won by 1 ½ lengths last year off a mark of 120 and he comes into this race rated 121 following a five length victory at Plumpton on his penultimate start.
Tommie Beau needs to bounce back from a below par effort at Southwell but with form figures of 1114 at this track, he should run well with up to four places available.
