13:50 Beverley

The improving ROWAYEH has been a work in progress but I thought she showed more than enough on reappearance to make her of strong interest here. She was beaten four and a half lengths at Newmarket last month but that was a good effort especially as she was sent off 22/1 and expected to improve for it. She was staying on at the finish and she had the right two horses in front with the Godolphin fav Silver Lady looking useful and Never Ending of Cheveley Park likely to have a bright future too.

She recorded a decent speed figure in defeat and really should be opening her account now. Ulysses filly Storymaker also looks to be going the right way and she ran well beaten less than a length at Wolverhampton last month. With natural improvement on that back up in trip she could emerge as the danger.

19:15 Sandown

Despite a lack of runners the Sandown card looks decent on Tuesday night and I’m particularly looking forward to seeing ROYAL SYMBOL in this. He is bred to be smart being by Sea The Stars and he overcame inexperience to make a winning debut as a two-year-old. Obviously it is a bit worrying that we haven’t seen him since (missed all of last season) but that form has worked out notably well producing six winners since.

It includes Group 2 and Listed winners and up in trip now following a wind op he could be good enough to make a winning return. Kingman colt Torito is a half-brother to Journey and he opened his account at Nottingham last month but only beat two horses on that occasion so is hard to assess. Galileo colt Artistic Star made a winning debut on sole start as a two-year-old but will need to improve to remain unbeaten.
