The majority of this field come here with a bit to prove so I’m going to chance the form angle in ADJUVANT who was only denied a neck over C&D on reappearance. That was a big run coming from out the pack to try and run down HMS President who is a decent yardstick. This son of New Bay remains unexposed over this trip and given the fourth Geremia has won next time out to frank the form already racing off the same mark with added fitness on side he looks sure to go close.

Harry Burns takes over from Billy Loughnane and claims 3lb. Hopefully he doesn’t get too far back and he has the leaders within reach in the closing stages. The biggest danger is probably Saratoga Gold who won fresh over this trip at Goodwood last year but he is yet to win at this track so needs to prove his effectiveness here. Australian Angel will appreciate going back up in trip and she also has a squeak.
