Morning Sun impressed staying on strongly to finally open his account over C&D last time so he is feared up 6lb from that but THEOPHILOS catches the eye. This Irish raider also clocked a career best winning readily at Tipperary last month and it is interesting connections have decided to come here. He races off 11lb higher given his British mark so will need to improve again but I liked how he went through the race last time and I thought he was much the best that day. The extra furlong should prove ideal and he has plenty going for him with Ben Coen over for the ride. Of the rest Innse Gall has won over C&D in the past and he hasn’t run badly twice so far this season so could be competitive for a long way.

Heavy ground probably cost ONE MORE WAVE at Goodwood last time as he tried to make all but couldn’t hold them off in the closing stages. Back down to 7f and on the AW again I’m expecting a big run here. His second to Docklands over track and trip before that disappointment has been franked with that winner following up at Ascot next time out looking a nice prospect. He has more to come on just his fourth start and I’m keen to side with him once more. Trip To Rome ran his best race to date when second at Southwell and with a good draw if he improves again he should emerge as the main danger. Another Thought won by a head at Lingfield and is another one to note up to 7f for the first time here.
