The unexposed MAGHLAAK shaped well enough behind a couple of rivals proven in testing conditions at Goodwood on his return and having progressed well last term, he can resume that forward momentum. Tamarama failed to fire at Windsor on her first appearance for Ralph Beckett, pulling too hard in conditions softer than ideal, but can be given another chance on a sounder surface. Spirit Of The Bay improved on her second start of the year and appears to be on an attractive mark.
Prediction : 1st Maghlaak 2nd Tamarama 3rd Spirit Of The Bay

Any market confidence behind the George Boughey-trained newcomer Chic Colombine would be significant, but ALWAYS LOVE YOU shaped with plenty of promise when fourth at Windsor. The form of that race has worked out well, with the winner going in again since, while the second went close in Listed company at York last week. China Trade might prefer further than this in time but is sure to be fit and ready to go on debut.
Prediction : 1st Always Love You 2nd Chic Colombine 3rd China Trade

GALE FORCE MAYA has finished behind her stablemate Azure Blue on her last two starts but that filly is now a Group 2 winner and with this faster surface sure to suit, the Michael Dods-trained seven-year-old gets the vote. Get Ahead has only her second try over this trip after competing over the minimum distance for most of her career, and remains of interest. Makarova was ahead of the selection at Newmarket and further improvement is possible with that run now under her belt.
Prediction : 1st Gale Force Maya 2nd Makarova 3rd Get Ahead

Just the one runner with any racecourse form, and SEVEN ACES may well be able to put that to good use. Slowly away at Sandown, she was never involved until passing one rival late on, but should have learned plenty from the experience. Amazing Winnie may be one of the better newcomers for a stable that has had four juvenile winners on the turf this year. Fallen Angel is another worth watching first time out.
Prediction : 1st Seven Aces 2nd Amazing Winnie 3rd Fallen Angel

The formbook points to the chances of Zouzanna, second on both her starts and only beaten a head at Kempton in November. She can go well, as can Ithra, a length second over a furlong shorter at Yarmouth and representing the in-form Alice Haynes stable, but SUB ROSA might have the edge. Fourth behind subsequent Nell Gwyn heroine Mammas Girl at Newmarket on her only start, she was green before running into traffic problems and if she learns from that, she could make up into a decent filly.
Prediction : 1st Sub Rosa 2nd Zouzanna 3rd Ithra

AURORA DAWN is difficult to oppose after she strolled home over 7f at Newmarket and although she has to carry a 6lb penalty for that victory, she will go up another 5lb for future races so she is well-in. Masterpainter is the only distance winner in this field and although not at his best so far this season, blinkers are tried, which may help him focus. Pearly Star is a work in progress and is probably better than she has shown so far.
Prediction : 1st Aurora Dawn 2nd Masterpainter 3rd Pearly Star

Having been withdrawn at the start when a warm favourite at Nottingham on his intended return in early April, DOG FOX made no mistake when winning at Yarmouth later that month. Ed Dunlop's charge has been raised 4lb for that success but he remains unexposed and is fancied to defy the hike, with further improvement likely. Tremendous Times is one to monitor closely in the betting ahead of his handicap bow, while Wadacre Gomez heads the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Dog Fox 2nd Tremendous Times 3rd Wadacre Gomez
