This looks a good chance for LIBERTY MOUNTAIN to get herself back in the winners enclosure. She was steadily progressive as a 2yo capping off the season with a convincing win at Lingfield. I thought she ran as if she needed it only beaten narrowly at Yarmouth on return and then improved to go close at Newmarket. I know the winner Aurora Dawn was beaten next time but she ran well finishing second by just half a length and I do think the form has substance. She’s only 1lb higher here but with Harry Burns claiming 3lb she is actually better off at the weights. Torfrida was well backed in the market when opening her account at Doncaster last time and looks the danger if improving again. That did come in soft ground though so she needs to prove she can handle this faster surface.
