The gelded son of Dandy Man had been kept busy on the all-weather before that outing and defied a 7lb rise to complete a double. The reopposing I'm Mable (fourth) is feared most, while Battle Point completes the shortlist.

BUSH ROSE hasn't been seen since finishing a fair fourth at Beverley on her racecourse bow last August, but Roger Varian's inmate is fairly well-related and looks worth another chance given her dam was Listed-placed in France during her career. Hoornblower has proven to be capable of better than his most recent outing suggests and he could bounce back, while The Jackler also warrants a market check after doing some good late work on debut.

A case can be made for most of these, but CONFILS secured a comfortable success over C&D earlier this month and is taken to follow up here, despite having to shoulder top-weight after a 4lb rise. The booking of Andrea Atzeni adds further appeal to her cause, but Fieldsman was only beaten half a length over 7f most recently and should not be dismissed lightly. Last-time-out winner Romanovich is another to consider off 2lb higher.

Letter Of The Law looked outpaced over 7f at Chester two weeks ago, but he can be a more potent force back over further today. Cape Cornwall Rose (second) is now 4lb better off with Seattle King (winner) on their recent C&D meeting, but that might not be enough to see her reverse the form. COME ON JOHN did well to win at Wolverhampton last time out when given plenty to do from the rear and, if proving as effective back on the grass off a 4lb higher mark, he could double up.

RAWYAAN had dropped in the handicap prior to finishing a good third over C&D last month, an effort for which he was subsequently eased a further 1lb. He's now below his last winning mark, which came at Goodwood last June, and that could see him regain the winning thread today. Narrowly denied over C&D a week ago, King Of War can make his presence felt now upped in class and in receipt of weight, while Little Boy Blue appeals most of the remainder.

MISTER X, who tries cheekpieces for the first time, has already tasted success in handicaps and, from 2lb lower than his last wining mark, he rates as a key player dropping back to this level. Luke Catton was in the saddle for three of his four previous wins and the rider's 5lb claim comes in handy today. Storyinthesand has snippets of form that suggests she can also go well, while the unexposed Film Star needs monitoring in the betting on her handicap debut.

Bobby On The Beat has sound claims on the best of his all-weather form but, he is 0-13 on turf and there is enough doubt to look elsewhere for the winner, with four-time course scorer LETHAL ANGEL looking a more solid candidate. She counts a C&D victory among those wins and the forecast ground conditions could be in instrumental in her staging a successful return to action. Wiley Post and The Princes Poet are also considered.
