GYTO's Tuesday Notebook Double pays 8/1.
15:00 Leicester
The well bred SHAZAM could give weight and a beating to these rivals. She took a big step forward to win at Lingfield last time and given she remains completely unexposed over this trip there is good reason to think she has more to offer. This won’t be easy under a 6lb penalty but she really relished this trip last time and I think she’ll be finishing best with Billy Loughnane claiming 3lb off her back. Jimmy Mark also arrives in winning form having got his head in front at Bath last time. He beat Pink Lily who had won nicely before that so he is entitled to run well again and looks the danger. The other one to mention is Lillistar for Roger Charlton as she has only had 4 starts and now tackling turf for the first time could run well.
19:55 Wetherby
The hat-trick seeking BLUE YONDER looks hard to get away from at Wetherby on Tuesday night. He was mightily impressive winning at Beverley and then back on the AW followed up at Wolverhampton last time. He is up another 6lb but looks on the upgrade now and I think this is a pretty decent opportunity to make it 3 in a row. Opera Legend still looks to be strengthening up but he ran well when beaten just a couple of lengths at Catterick last month. If he enjoys going up in trip he could be the danger but I do think he needs more time and experience to come into his own. Captain Potter is also worthy of a mention but he wasn’t at his best last time and this mark is certainly no given. Hard to see much else landing a blow.
