Despite being sent off at 11/1 TRUEMAN made no mistake at Carlisle last month winning readily at the line. He almost certainly has more to come now handicapping and is taken to improve past this field. He wouldn’t want it to turn tactical so hopefully something goes forward but otherwise I am really keen on his chances. Million Thanks ran two big races earlier in the season when beaten a nose by Poetic Force and then just half a length by Bear Force One but has struggled a bit the last twice. If he bounces back then he could be the danger but has a little to prove at the moment. Zainalarab clearly hasn’t been the easiest to train and he didn’t show a great deal when tailed off last at Haydock on return so will need to leave that well behind just to get competitive.

Galileo colt TOWER OF LONDON wasn’t seen to best effect at this track last time but that was a tough ask being a Group 3 and prior to that he ran behind subsequent Derby winner Auguste Rodin. He looked promising winning on debut as a 2yo and it remains early days with him. He goes up to a mile and a half for the first time here and he is obviously bred to come into his own now so this easier assignment could turn out to be a good opportunity to get back to winning ways. New Variant is by New Approach and he has won his last two in good style. This is tougher up in class but he looks the obvious danger with confidence high. The other one that could get competitive is Amusement who clocked a career best over C&D last time but the ground will be very different this time around.
