Havana Party is respected under a 5lb penalty following his win in first time blinkers on Monday but preference instead goes to SHAHNAZ (best priced at 4/1) who has a good record at Hamilton and is now looking well handicapped. The Gemma Tutty trained four-year-old has form figures of 115 at the track with her victory in July coming off a mark of 63 by 4 ½ lengths. Following that victory she won at Carlisle off a mark of 69 before finishing 2nd off a mark of 72.

Shahnaz was only beaten 3 ¾ lengths last time at Pontefract but following a couple of below par efforts so far this season she has now dropped down from a mark of 72 down to a mark of 65. That is 4lb lower than her previous success so she looks well handicapped and she should prove hard to beat back at this track.

The Nigel Tinkler trained ACKLAM EXPRESS (best priced at 17/2) has been contesting listed/group races for the for the last three seasons and a chance is taken on his return to a handicap. The five-year-old has only contested one handicap in his career and that was a 4 ¼ length success in July 2020 before he then won a listed race at York on his next start. He hasn’t won since but has finished 2nd in two Group 2s in Meydan and even finished 3rd in the Group 1 King’s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot last season behind Nature Strip.

Acklam Express was disappointing in the Temple Stakes last time but now drops into a 0-105 handicap and he looks worth taking a chance on off top weight in a first time tongue tie.

This looks a competitive 0-80 handicap but preference goes to PRISCILLA'S WISH (best priced at 9/2) who has a fantastic record at this track. The Philip McBride trained five-year-old has form figures of 47133211111 at Yarmouth and this will be her first start at this track so far this season. She defied odds of 66/1 to win at Chelmsford on her reappearance off a mark of 75 before finishing a close 2nd over the same course and distance on her next start off a mark of 80.

Priscilla’s Wish finished 6th at Newmarket last time off this career high mark of 81 but this return to Yarmouth will no doubt suit her and hopefully she can make it six wins in a row at this track.
