GYTO's Monday Notebook Double pays 8/1.
15:30 Lingfield
With natural improvement from that debut run MAGIC FORCE could prove difficult to beat at Lingfield on Monday. This Soldier’s Call colt ran well to go down three lengths first time out at Salisbury and he beat all bar the winner Reveiller who made all the running and had things go his way throughout. He will improve from that and looks well placed to make the breakthrough now.
The third Hug A Tree has run well to finish third since so the form has substance. Invincible Tiger needed the experience on debut but improved to finish third at Hamilton and sets the standard on that form so looks the obvious danger. Expert Eye filly Grey Gray is also worth mentioning though as she continues to run to a decent level and likely won’t be too far away either.

This looks between the top two in the betting and PEARL EYE is a strong play. I was impressed with how he held off Aurora Dawn at Haydock and given that filly had been so impressive at Newmarket prior to that I think the form looks very solid. He has been raised 4lb but that looks perfectly fair and given he is unexposed over a mile if he improves again the rest will struggle to deal with him.
Hi Clare went down less than a length on reappearance at Hamilton and she will push forward and try and dictate this so she will be a danger especially if getting a soft lead. Tasever remains a maiden but did run better than his price suggested when third at York last time. If he builds on that again he might not be far away but he did come off the bridle a fair way out last time which is a little concerning.
