The two last time out winners in the field look set to fight this one out and I’m keen to side with JE NE SAIS QUOI who really impressed staying on strongly to open her account at Thirsk last time. She was well backed and really appreciated stepping up to this trip having raced over 5f on debut. She is getting better all the time and should be able to make it two wins from three starts.

Bits And Bobs made a winning start at Leicester and while that was visually quite impressive it is hard to know if he beat much. He can improve though so still looks the danger. Of the rest Master Franca shaped with potential when fourth on debut but the yard haven’t had a winner for a while now and it is becoming quite concerning. There’s No Limit could also run better but might just need a bit more time and experience.

The hat-trick looks on the cards for the progressive OWL ISLAND for Simon and Ed Crisford. This son of Dark Angel is unbeaten having won both starts to date and there was lots to like about the way he hit the line at Wolverhampton last month. He goes handicapping now off a mark of just 89 and he looks comfortably the most likely winner in this if proving as effective on turf.

Bussento didn’t run badly behind a nice type in Docklands at Ascot last time and if building on that again running off the same mark could go better than his price suggests at least. Harry Magnus was hampered at the start and then was denied a run when only fifth at Doncaster last time. If resuming his progress he could be the one to emerge as the main danger to the selection.
