Charlie Appleby and William Buick won this last year with Secret State so no surprise to see Tagabawa top the betting. His win at Kempton has been nicely franked since but this does represent a very different test and I think 4/1 offers very little value. BURGLAR is the one I like in opposition for John and Thady Gosden. This Cracksman colt won impressively on debut having been punted into odds-on and while he let backers down second start he was back on track and stylishly too scoring at Redcar on reappearance last month. He will come on for that and will likely relish this extra yardage here too. I’ve got a feeling he could be a really smart prospect going forward so hopefully he wins this. Of the rest Bertinelli represents Ballydoyle and showed a good attitude to prevail at Newbury so with improvement expected should also be in the mix.
