I think a fair bit of War Chant so for BRABUSACH to finish second to that rival at Nottingham last time was a good effort. He seems to be working up to a win and with the step up to a mile and a quarter looking sure to suit I think he is the one to beat now. Khangai ran well when third at Leicester and while he does lack consistency he might still be the danger to the selection. His second to Concorde at Redcar was also a big run so he certainly has the form to be a threat. Yesisaidyes is the most unexposed in the field and if improving is definitely another one that could get competitive. Zakram did look promising initially but he has proved expensive to follow in recent times and might be vulnerable again.

Magna Grecia colt MUTASAWI was a big eye-catcher on debut finishing an excellent second at Ripon at the start of the month. I expect him to take a big step forward for that experience and he should be able to go one better now. The winner Biloxi Boy looks a nice colt for Karl Burke and the third Knicks runs against the selection here and is probably the danger. Fifty Grand Slater was thrashed 12 lengths on debut by Asadna and that horse bombed out in the Coventry at Royal Ascot last week so the form hasn’t exactly been well advertised. He was then 10 lengths behind Bobsleigh at Epsom and needs more to win this. Charlie Mason looks a work in progress and could run better but again unlikely to spring an upset.
