15:15 Beverley

Hard to look past KIARAAD following that promising debut run where he got within a length and a quarter of victory at Lingfield. He just looked a bit clueless at the halfway stage but once the penny dropped he really stayed on well to close on the winner. The form has already taken a big boost with the fourth Imperial Dream winning with a bit in hand at Wolverhampton since. He should be a lot wiser this time around and I’ll be surprised if he is beaten here. Hondo is by Gregorian and has already shown a fairly decent level of form in two starts so looks the obvious danger. Mount King is more exposed and struggled at Thirsk so will need more to pose a serious threat to what looks an improver in the shape of the selection.

18:05 Delicacy

Saxon Warrior filly DELICACY showed plenty to work on when fifth on debut at Kempton and with natural improvement should be capable of making the breakthrough now. She was sent off at 25/1 but shaped a lot better than her odds suggested she would and was still running on at the line. She will probably come into her own up in trip going forward but I don’t mind her staying at 6f for now while she learns how to race. The form from that has been a bit mixed since with the third Rating well held in the Albany last week but the fourth Whoop Whoop ran well beaten just half a length at the weekend. This looks a good opportunity and it wouldn’t surprise me to see her well backed. Crooked Crown won well at Chepstow and looks the danger under a penalty.
