14:15 Hamilton

The likeable MIDNIGHT LIR has improved with every run and he just looked to bump into one when runner-up at Thirsk last time. The winner has been beaten since but was probably turned out too quickly in hindsight so I do still think the form of that last run is solid enough. Prior to that he was fourth behind Jungle Mate at Hamilton and the third Muqtahem and even the horse Rich Glory that finished last have won since so it all stacks up. He has more to come especially over 6f and should prove the answer. Unowho was denied just a neck on debut which was a big run and then ran creditably in fifth in a good race at Doncaster last time so looks the biggest danger if improving again. Soveraine went close on debut but blew out last time. If bouncing back she is another one to note.

14:57 Brighton

Gallimimius likely has more to come for George Boughey back down to a mile and a quarter but I wasn’t convinced with that run at Salisbury last time and I’m going to take him on. LUCIDITY has some eye-catching form to her name with that third at Nottingham on handicap debut last time strongly franked since. War Chant was the winner and he has won twice more since looking a nice horse in the making. The runner-up Brabusach has gone close twice without looking the most straightforward and both the fourth Goblet Of Fire and fifth Haaf A Diamond have won next time out. She has more to come as her stamina is drawn out and I think she’ll go close. Fullforward was a bit flat when only fourth at Lingfield and hopes are pinned on a first-time visor perking him up in this.
