The good looking HADRIAN’S WALL made a pleasing start finishing runner-up on debut at Wolverhampton and with natural improvement looks to have a great chance of making the breakthrough now. He stuck to the task well last time and beat all bar Persian Phoenix who already had a couple of runs under her belt and had it all go her way making all the running. The third Belle Storm ran well next time out to finish third at Beverley so the form has substance too.

He will improve and looks the most likely winner of this. Big Brown Bear needed the run on debut at Bath but stepped forward to go down just a short head at Brighton last month. With more to come he could be the danger. Loaded Quiver is well related and looks the most interesting of the debutants.

Edwina Sheeran has won three of her last three now so she will likely prove popular here but I prefer ALEX THE GREAT for David Simcock. This son of Camelot failed to make much impression on his first three starts but the money came for him on handicap debut at Lingfield and while he could only finish fifth there was still enough promise in the run to make him of strong interest here. He was only beaten two lengths despite plenty going wrong in the race.

He was held up and then got caught wide turning in which is far from ideal. He could never get competitive but still seemed to be learning on the job and with improvement to come now could make the breakthrough. Edwina Sheeran is feared but Future Times is another one that could run well despite still being a maiden.
