Coverdale has won his last three now so he obviously has to be feared but he takes on his elders for the first time and this won’t be easy up in grade and up another 4lb. I know BARYSHNIKOV carries top-weight but that is with good reason and this C&D winner has been hinting as if his turn is near. He was denied just a nose over track and trip last month and then needed a stronger gallop when only third back down to a mile at Redcar last time.

He is handicapped to strike and looks good value to come out on top now. If Coverdale fails to fire then Perfect Play could emerge as the main danger. He looked good winning at Chester back in May and was back to form beaten just a length at Redcar last time so if building on that could have a say in the outcome.
