Roaring Lion filly QUEEN REGENT won going away at Newcastle when last seen and is clearly a horse with a fair bit of potential. She stayed on strongly in the closing stages last time and did it readily in the end under Cieren Fallon. The runner-up has been beaten since but in a good race at Nottingham and the third Bosc Girl has finished runner-up twice since so while it hasn’t been hugely franked it still looks to have a fair bit of substance. She is open to improvement after just a couple of starts and I’m keen to keep her on side here and going forward. Value Added looked to need the run when only fifth at Newbury on return and then stepped forward as expected to finish a close-up second at Windsor last time so looks the danger. Emma Emilleen also has a squeak.

Another race that shouldn’t take a great deal of winning so it wouldn’t surprise me to see LIOSA rewarded for his consistency. He didn’t show much for his old yard but has definitely improved since handicapping for this trainer going down less than 2 lengths on reappearance and then only backing out of it late at Windsor last time. Back up to 6f with this track likely to suit he could put his best foot forward now. A mark of 56 really should be getable so I’m expecting a big run. Mister X is proven over C&D and didn’t run badly when third to Film Star here last time. Imperiousity was a place behind the selection last time so looks held on that but might not be too far away. Morboka is lightly raced but she needs to improve to get competitive as didn’t really land much of a blow on handicap debut last time.
