I’m looking forward to seeing AMERICAN SONJA out again in Ireland on Wednesday. This filly by Tasleet has won 3 of her last 4 and seems to be improving fast. She showed a great attitude to keep finding off the front in France last time and she left the impression she still has more to come. She could only finish fourth behind Zarinsk in the Cornelscourt Stakes at Leopardstown but that rival had it all go her own way that day and she has since been beaten into fourth in France emptying out in the closing stages. I think she can reverse that now especially if she goes forward and gets the lead. Cigamia was a good second on reappearance and she is another one that could get competitive. This should throw up plenty of future winners.

I have had my eye on KRACKING for a while so it was good to see him get off the mark at Leicester last month. I thought the penny really dropped on that occasion and the way he ran on suggests he could have a lot more to come going forward. He is up 5lb from that but this step up to a mile for the first time could see him in an even better light and I think he can make it 2-2 in handicaps. Beautifulasalways is gradually getting the hang of things and ran a cracker when second at Thirsk so if stepping forward again now handicapping looks the danger. The Jackler was only beaten 2 lengths at Newbury and is going the right way so he should also be competitive. Midsummer Music is interesting on handicap debut but might need more experience.
