This is fiercely competitive as the betting is suggesting but I do think LEGENDARY DAY might be a bit of value at 11/2. He has already won 3 times this season and was back to form when fourth at Newcastle last time. The switch back to patient tactics seemed to help and if Tom Marquand rides him cold here he might be the one finishing best in the closing stages. He is only 2lb above his last winning mark so if things drop right he should run a big race. Wholeofthemoon won over C&D last month but may have been a bit fortunate to beat Motazzen on that occasion and it wouldn’t surprise me if the latter turned that form around. First Emperor was highly tried at Royal Ascot last time but is better than that and given this is easier he should get competitive as well and is probably just about the main danger.
