Things didn’t exactly go to plan for BEECHWOOD STAR leaving the starting stalls at Thirsk on debut and given he powered home to go down just 2 lengths that was an eye-catching run. With a cleaner break you have to think he would have won that day and he is very much one to keep on side. He is open to improvement and should get the job done here granted better luck in-running. Petra Celera has already had a couple of runs and showed much more when runner-up at Hamilton last time. If she progresses again she could get competitive in this. Terrorise has already been gelded but he stuck on well to finish third on debut and could do better especially as his stamina is drawn out further.

Galileo colt BREMEN missed just a neck on debut and with natural improvement he should open his account against these. He was sent off 22/1 that day which seems a bit ridiculous now given there was only 5 runners. His stablemate Portland disappointed having been squeezed out and after a slow start he was the one running on well at the finish. He should know a lot more this time around and looks the one they all have to beat. The winner of that race Spanish Flame had previously been impressive so the form should work out in time. Dubawi colt Navy Seal looks the part on paper and he could run well first time out. Frankel colt Alonzo is another one worth a market check as he is obviously bred to be a nice prospect in time.
