Steve Ryder is back with two selections for today's action at Stratford.

Ayr Of Elegance is respected following her recent win but preference instead goes to NADIM (best priced at 5/2) who has been running consistently well and can hopefully get his head in front in first time cheekpieces. The Milton Harris trained four-year-old strolled in his first three starts over hurdles but has finished 2nd on both of his starts in handicaps since.
Nadim finished 2nd over 2m½f here in June off a mark of 85 before finishing 2nd by ¾ length at Southwell a month ago off a mark of 88. The handicapper has only raised him 1lb for that effort which seems lenient and he should prove hard to beat with the addition of first time cheekpieces.

This looks a competitive 0-105 handicap chase but I am willing to take a chance on last year’s winner ROSTELLO (best priced at 7/2) who runs in the race this year off a 5lb lower mark. The Dr Richard Newland trained eight-year-old has an inconsistent profile but he won this race by 14 lengths off a mark of 107 last season. He won off a mark of 98 in March at Southwell but following a couple of disappointing efforts since he has dropped back down to a mark of 102.
Rostello comes into the race following two runs in novice hurdles but this will have likely been a long term target and hopefully he can record back to back wins in this race.
