With two wins from his last three GOLDEN SHOT looks one to keep on side for now. He was denied the hat-trick at Newcastle on final start last season but was only beaten a length and he didn’t get the best passage through when trying to come from off the pace. He is unexposed and with more to come back in trip looks the one to beat in this especially as he is proven fresh.

Two Auld Pals finally got off the mark at Carlisle last month and then followed up at Hamilton. He was beaten last time but only went down half a length so remains in form and is the likely danger. Ghadbbaan has been pretty consistent and is another one that could get involved if building on that last effort when he was a solid third at Epsom.

I thought there was lots to like about the way JE NE SAIS QUOI won at Thirsk on just her second start. She was well backed at Chester last month but failed to deliver but was back to her best at Haydock last time. She moved like the winner for the majority of the race before getting grabbed by Tierney. That horse looks really promising so I think the form will work out in time.

She has more to come and up just 3lb should be able to get the job done here. Flag Of St George shaped with promise when fourth on debut and stepped forward to win well at Newmarket. He was highly tried at Royal Ascot behind River Tiber so will find this much easier now handicapping and looks the obvious danger.
