Steve Ryder is back with three tips from today's action.

The favourite Whiskey Priest deserves respect under a 6lb penalty but I am willing to take a chance on SKI ANGEL (best priced at 16/1) on her handicap debut. The three-year-old daughter of Harry Angel finished well beaten on her first three starts when trained by John Quinn but now makes her handicap debut off a lowly mark of 44.
Ski Angel has joined the Mike Smith stable and despite running from 2lbs out of the handicap in this race, I think she is worth taking a chance on at the prices.

This looks a competitive 0-65 handicap but preference goes to CHOOKIE DUNEDIN (best priced at 8/1) who is another interesting horse on stable debut for Mike Smith. The eight-year-old has been running consistently well this year with form figures of 3043243 including placed efforts off marks of 67, 64, 64 and 65.
Chookie Dunedin was only beaten two lengths at Musselburgh last time off a mark of 65 so the fact the handicapper has dropped him 2lbs seems lenient. He steps back up to in trip from 5f to 6f which should suit him well (previous course and distance winner) and he should run well with up to five places available.

Jkr Cobbler and DARBUCKS (best priced at 3/1) fought out the finish over this course and distance a week ago and preference goes to the runner-up to reverse that form. The Christopher Kellet trained four-year-old had previously been struggling for form but he bounced back to form last time to finish only a neck behind the winner.
Darbucks runs here off the same mark of 52 whereas Jkr Cobbler has a 5lb penalty so I expect the selection to be able to reverse that form at the weights. Many of the other horses are struggling for recent form so it looks between Jkr Cobbler and Darbucks and preference goes to the latter.
