The penny seems to be dropping for OVERACTIVE now and he caught the eye going down half a length at Leicester last time. The winner Golden Maverick has won again since to frank the form and the third Measured Moments who was an eye-catcher also won nicely next time out. He is just 1lb higher and if settling better going up in trip will be a danger to all here.

Oh So Grand has won her last two and was particularly impressive at Wolverhampton last time. She has a 6lb penalty for her handicap debut though so this won’t be easy and if the selection improves she might be up against it. Gallimimus is likeable and he also remains in very good form so isn’t completely out of this either.

Kingman filly PREPENSE looks worth siding with here. She improved to make a winning reappearance at Newmarket back in April and while she has been beaten twice since she shaped with promise when third behind Pastiche last month and racing off the same mark with the likelihood of more to come could get back to winning ways. This is a drop in grade too so she should find it easier.

She had American Belle behind at Newmarket but that filly had won two in a row before that so could still be the danger. Sonemos won over a mile here back in May and then was a good second at Sandown so is another one that should run well but I doubt she’d want much rain and it is forecast so it could get quite testing
