The way HARRY’S HALO won over C&D as a two-year-old was quite impressive and while he wasn’t in the same form on return when down the field at Kempton he quickly bounced back to go close at Chester. He was beaten less than a length and was denied a run at a crucial stage too. He has more to come off this mark and looks worth siding with to go one better especially back at this venue.
Braveheart Boy ties in on that Chester form having finished third. He was given a lot to do that day too so looks the biggest danger in here. Of the rest Raven’s Applause won at Windsor last month and then bounced back from a poor run at Leicester to finish second at Chepstow so is another one that could get competitive.
15:50 Sandown
Not a great deal between this small field of just five runners but NOTHING TO SEA arrives on the up having won nicely at Newbury and freshened up again could be up to making a winning handicap debut here. His form at Windsor when third to Peace Man and Lunatick is strong form let alone his win over Naqeeb last time and with potential for a soft lead he might not come back to them.
He goes up in trip which could be a catalyst for further improvement and I’m keen to keep him on side. Hidden Story looks the most immediate threat having won impressively at Newcastle and then only gone down a length and a half at Newmarket. He goes off the same mark and still has potential to do better so should run well.
