This looks a great chance for Harry Angel colt MC LOVEN to open his account. He ran a stinker on debut but quickly left that behind to get within a head of victory at Lingfield last time and wouldn’t need to improve much more to open his account now. He was only headed in the final strides last time and with further improvement to come as he gains experience I expect him to be hard to beat. Miss Woo Woo has already had a handful of starts but she has ground to make up with the selection on that last run so might be up against it. Pressure’s On went close on debut but then finished last at Chepstow. If he bounces back he might have a shout but a bit to prove on the balance. Fly Pass could also get competitive but probably needs to find more.

Dark Angel filly SWISS STAR showed a good attitude to prevail at Doncaster last month. That looked a good race with the second Holkham Bay having won his start prior to that and the third Molaqab coming out and bolting up at Lingfield just last week. She is obviously open to further improvement and against largely exposed types should be able to follow up. Roshambo is a likeable filly and a good yardstick and I expect her to give the selection most to think about. That third at Carlisle last time looks a very solid run. Rhythmic Acclaim chased home Quinault at Chelmsford back in April and despite running a bit flat at Nottingham last time if getting back to something like her best she is another one I can see getting competitive in this.
