Dark Angel filly DARK DESIRE always looked to be getting the better of the argument at Haydock last time. She was nicely on top at the finish and the runner-up Crown Dreams has since finished second in a good race to give the form some substance. She should keep improving with experience and is well placed here to make it 2 wins from just 3 starts. Lord Bertie also catches the eye having finished third to Chaldean on debut before winning nicely at Ffos Las. He’ll need to improve again but is clearly going the right way so looks the danger if ready to roll on reappearance. Initio is a son of Highland Reel and he didn’t shape badly when third on debut but might be more of a work in progress and likely needs more time.

Getting weight all round INTINSO is expected to take a lot of beating here. He is upped in trip to a mile and a half for the first time on handicap debut and looks a colt to keep on side. That third at Chelmsford last month has already been franked with the runner-up Lady Boba winning next time out so an opening mark of 87 could easily be workable. Hasty Sailor was denied just a neck by Cumulonimbus back in May and that is form that has worked out well since so despite disappointing at Doncaster if bouncing back could be the danger. Reina Del Mar impressed winning readily over C&D back in June and she is another one that could get competitive as she still remains on a fair looking mark.
