Like most of these Sunday Series handicaps this is another fiercely competitive race but AULD TOON LOON does make plenty of appeal despite being at the top of the betting. He has won 2 of his last 3 now and the form of his last two races have worked out really well. He was back to his best scoring at Chester last month and the fourth Bushfire and fifth Sid’s Annie have both won since. He is 4lb higher here but will love the ground which should count for plenty and despite being 4/1 I still think there might be value in that price. Derry Lad is chasing a hat-trick and looks the most obvious danger to the selection. The horse he beat at Pontefract Wootton’sun won next time out to frank the form and Bollin Margaret, Fox Journey, Geremia and Carrigillihy have all won since so the form certainly stacks up. I think the pair have it between them.
