Beaten less than 3 lengths over 7f here last month TURBO COMMAND was a big eye-catcher flashing home late behind Jkr Cobbler and co. He was left poorly placed that day but made up a lot of ground late on suggesting this step back up to a mile will suit. This looks an easier race and I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t go close. Retirement Beckons is an 8yo now but he has won 3 times over C&D in the past so shouldn’t be completely overlooked. He wasn’t disgraced beaten 5 lengths into fifth over C&D a week ago so should run his race again. Our Dickie has the cheekpieces back on and is expected to show up better than he managed when down the field over track and trip last month.

The money came for PFINGSTBERG at Bath last month and while he failed to get the job done on that occasion he still shaped with encouragement in third and again caught the eye going down half a length at Leicester. The winner of that race Selenachorus is a progressive filly so the form should work out. I’m not sure there is anything as good as her in here so it should be a good opportunity for the selection to get off the mark now. He is off the same mark and remains unexposed so big shout. Queensland Boy was beaten less than a length on handicap debut at Leicester and then ran well when second at Chepstow so with more to come he looks to be the obvious danger to the selection.
