Steve Ryder is back with three tips for today's action.
15:30 Galway
Willie Mullins has unsurprisingly been amongst the winners this week and Hubrisko (best priced at 3/1) should hold strong claims in this handicap chase. The six-year-old finished 2nd in a maiden hurdle at the meeting last year before winning easily on his next start at the track by 8 ½ lengths. He ran well in Grade 3 and Grade 2 novice hurdles on his next two starts before running three times in novice chases so far this year.
Hubrisko was only beaten 1 ½ lengths by Ballyadam a month ago at Wexford and he now makes his handicap chase debut off a mark of 137. He is the least exposed in the field and should hold strong claims in this race with Paul Townend choosing him over Mt Leinster.
16:00 Galway
The Natalia Lupini trained Dunum (best priced at 11/2) ran well to finish 3rd in the BMW Mile Handicap earlier this week and he should hold strong claims back down in trip. The five-year-old has been running consistently well this season with form figures of 1203 with his only disappointing effort coming at Royal Ascot.
Dunum was only beaten a length on Tuesday having travelled best of all into the race shaping like this drop to 7f should suit. Billy Lee takes over on board which is a positive and he looks sure to run well if able to get a good position from Stall 17.
18:15 Haydock
Course and distance winner Raimunda is respected on her handicap debut but she may struggle to beat Nigiri (best priced at 2/1) who won easily here over 7f on her handicap debut last month. The Ralph Beckett trained three-year-old had previously run with credit at both Newmarket and Wolverhampton before winning easily by 3 ¼ lengths last time on her handicap debut at Haydock.
The handicapper has raised Nigiri 7lbs for her latest success up to mark of 75 which is fair and she stayed on well over 7f shaping like this step up in trip to a mile will suit. Hector Crouch takes over on board and she should prove hard to beat for the in-form yard.
