New Bay colt DEVIL’S POINT may have only finished fifth on debut at Sandown but he was beaten just a length and a half and with that initial experience under his belt now he could be the one to beat. That looked a strong novice event and the third Arabian Crown has already won easily next time out to frank the form. He was slowly into stride that day and just looked a horse learning on the job. He would have improved plenty since and should be a danger to all now. Going The Distance is by Lope De Vega and cost €160,000 as a yearling. He is making his debut here for Ralph Beckett and while he lacks a run he could easily be the danger so the market will be interesting to see what it makes of his chance. Daring Legend is another one who could get seriously competitive with experience on side.

I am going to take a chance on Dubawi colt SEENDID bouncing back here for William Haggas. He shaped with promise on debut finishing midfield at Newbury and then stepped forward to finish third at Chepstow still looking quite raw in the closing stages. He improved again to open his account gamely at Newmarket making all and then could never land a blow at Newmarket last month. He is a lot better than that performance and stepping up to a mile and a half for the first time off a 4lb lower mark he looks worth siding with. Baileys Khelstar beat a good yardstick in Jamih at Beverley last month and despite being beat twice since only missed a head last time and if in that form will be the danger. Of the rest Dasho Lennie acquitted himself well in defeat when third at Newbury and should also be competitive.
