Steve Ryder is back with three tips for today's action.

This looks a competitive 0-65 handicap but preference goes to the consistent SYMBOL OF HOPE (best priced at 11/2) who was shown good form at this track. The Grace Harris trained five-year-old has form figures of 0114361311332 at the track with five successes over either 5f or the trip today of 5½f. His most recent success came off a mark of 62 in May before placing twice off a mark of 67 and then off a mark of 68 five days ago.
Symbol Of Hope was only beaten 1 ¼ lengths last time under Alec Voikhansky and he looks sure to run well once again off 1lb lower with up to five places available.

Pinpoint is interesting on his handicap debut but FLEMISH (best priced at 15/2) has a similar profile and is a much bigger price. The Tom Ward trained two-year-old has raced keenly on all three of her career starts over 6f and shapes as if this drop to 5f is exactly what she needs.
The handicapper has given Flemish an opening mark of 53 and it is significant that connections now fit her with a first time hood for her handicap debut. I expect to see a much improved effort in this race and she should outrun her odds under Sean Levey.
16:20 Pontefract
Tele Red is respected in his hat-trick bid but I am willing to take a chance on CAPTAIN CORELLI (best priced at 22/1) who is back down to his last winning mark. The Julie Camacho trained six-year-old showed good form last season with a course and distance victory off a mark of 60 and a victory at Beverley in September off a mark of 65. He has disappointed on his next three starts off marks of 69 and 67 but has now dropped back down to a mark of 65.
Captain Corelli has had a wind operation since his last run 70 days ago and hopefully that means he gets back to the level of his previous form. Graham Lee takes over on board and he looks worth taking a chance on at a big price.
