The hat-trick seeking BUDDY’S BEAUTY has looked firmly on the upgrade in recent starts and again impressed with how she went clear late on at Leicester. That form has worked out well since too with the runner-up Bungle Bay winning last month. The third Malham Tarn Cove has gone close in some good races and even the fifth Apache Star and the horse that finished last Snow Berry have managed to win. It is therefore understandable that the handicapper has put her up 10lb and she might still be able to defy a mark of 65. Snow Berry was the horse that finished last behind the selection and she did win well at Yarmouth. She remains fairly treated back handicapping so could be the one to chase her home.

Despite still looking green MOONSPIRIT won nicely at Bath last month. She actually jumped the path so still very much learning her trade. I loved how she travelled through that race though and she is only going to improve again. The step up to a mile and a quarter should suit and a mark of 77 will likely be workable. Hopefully she gets a nice toe in and can get a bit of cover early as I think that will see her to even better effect. Mayfair Gold just bumped into one when runner-up over C&D last time and that form has been boosted since so I think she is the biggest danger in here. Hey Lyla was second to Isle Of Jura at Newmarket last time and that is solid form so she is another one I expect to get involved now stepping up in trip.
