I’m going to take a chance on Nathaniel filly MALKA improving now sent handicapping. She showed more than enough encouragement on her first two starts to suggest an opening mark of 77 should be workable. She ran in a really competitive race at Newbury last time and could never really land a blow. That race has already started to work out well with the winner going in again and the fourth Karat Karat winning like a nice prospect. She did do some good late work that day so wasn’t completely disgraced. Monty Bay didn’t look to have much left over a mile at York last month so I’m not sure the step up to a mile and a quarter is a good move. Perhaps he’ll be suited by the better ground though so still respected. Mantoog is capable of better and she is another one that could ask a few questions of the selection.
