This looks a competitive 0-68 handicap but preference goes to Abravaggio (best priced at 3/1) who bids to make it a hat-trick of wins since joining Peter Chapple-Hyam. The three-year-old made a winning stable debut at Chelmsford in July off a mark of 55 before following up over 7f here last time off a mark of 59.

This step back up to a mile shouldn’t inconvenience Abravaggio and he is expected to defy a 5lb rise from the handicapper.

There are a few interesting newcomers in this maiden but I will be disappointed if Cherry (best priced at 11/10) cannot get off the mark in this race. The Ralph Beckett trained filly is yet to finish out of the first three in her four races so far and is worthy of her rating of 83.

Cherry finished 2nd to Sea Theme at Doncaster last time who boosted the form by winning the listed Galtres Stakes on her next start and she should prove hard to beat in this race.
