GYTO's Tuesday Notebook Double pays 16/1.

In a race full of quite exposed types ORIGINTRAIL might be worth chancing. This Profitable filly has been coming back down the weights and I thought she was a bit unlucky beaten just a nose over 5f here last time. She was slowly into stride that day and had to be switched wide to come with a run and just failed to get up. The winner Ey Up It’s Maggie had some very solid form in the book so she was beaten by the right horse. This step back up to 6f looks in her favour judging by the way she shaped the last day and off a mark we know she can win off she looks decent value at 4/1. Impeller was an excellent second at 12/1 over C&D last time and will be the danger if repeating that sort of form. Abate is also respected if bouncing back.

Time Test filly METRIC clocked a career best winning well at Leicester last week and the second had bolted up prior to that so she beat a decent yardstick too. That was just her second start in a handicap so she almost certainly has more to offer and if handling this quick turnaround carrying a penalty should follow up. Asgard’s Captain looks the obvious threat as he forced a dead heat with an improver in Barrolo at Ripon back in June and then only went down a length into third at Wolverhampton last time. The step back up in trip will help so he should ask a few questions of the selection. Of the rest Future Times remains a maiden but on his best form would have a squeak in this as well so don’t completely dismiss.
