I have been keeping my eye on MARIAMNE for a while and that second at Kempton last month tells me she is going to strike again soon. She did all the hard work and was only pegged back in the closing stages. The winner Sayidh Kingman looks a progressive filly for Charlie Johnston so that was still a big run finishing behind her. She should have more to offer off her current mark and I’ll be disappointed if she doesn’t go close. The Johnston yard actually saddle the second fav in here Kandy House so I wouldn’t want to see too much money for her as they obviously have a line on the selection. Hedge Fund can improve and is also noted. Unowho has first-time blinkers but still needs to do a lot better.

The money has really come for KYNSA the last twice and while she has failed to get the job done she has finished runner-up on both occasions and should be winning soon. This looks a good opportunity on paper as she only went down half a length last time with the pair clear. The step up in trip should bring about further improvement and 10/3 could look a decent price. Hildegard was a bit of a drifter last time but didn’t run badly in fourth and if building on that could be the danger as the betting is suggesting. City Escape won last time but is exposed in comparison to the pair mentioned so she’ll need more to follow up. Change Of Fortune has cheekpieces on and a 5lb claimer booked but it still takes a bit of a leap of faith to back him to win this. Lowick could run well but again place prospects likely at best.
